Common Questions & Answers From Me - Jerry
Do you turn all submitted quotes and ideas into drawings? NO. This is something new that I am trying and I have already received a bunch.
What do I get if you use my quote or idea? You get a signed and labeled print of the drawing in exchange for my getting 100% of all other rights related to the drawing (e.g. - I might turn it into a drawing and sell it to others that think its really cool).
When do you turn a submitted idea into a drawing? Sometimes immediately. Sometimes days or weeks. Sometimes never.
What kind of ideas do you look for? Original stuff that is really super insightful, unique, peculiar, or interesting. I like stuff that inspires people or provokes a curious response. I tend not to like ideas that are of the "half empty glass "or "we are all doomed" variety.

What type of stores do you sell your work in? Galleries, Frame Shops, and Gift Stores. We are currently in the process of expanding our retailer network across the U.S. If you are a retailer or know a retailer that might be interested in featuring my work, please send me a note by clicking here:

Why do you do this? Don't you have a day job? The opportunity to have a positive impact on others by making them think and/or laugh is pretty cool. The thought of my simple drawings hanging all over the world shedding a little extra light into the lives of others is pretty humbling. Several of my drawings recently appeared in workplaces in several middle eastern countries. I think that is pretty amazing given the complex world we live in today. I do this 100% for the joy and plan on keeping the day job for a long time.
How do you create your drawings? Drawings start with an idea or obervation coming from a real life experience (most coming straight from the halls of corporate America). I use artists ink pens on water color paper and then paint the figures and background using water colors. I often re-use figures, quotes, and backgrounds in different , original ways.
Is this a realease for you? Are you a frustrated member of the corporate world? Absolutely not. I love working in the corporate environment. The opportunity to meet, interact, and grow old with hundreds of amazing and interesting people is very cool. The focus of my work is to help people recognize what matters - and maybe just as importantly, what does not. I poke a little fun sometimes at how simple and primitive we humans are - but my work is never intended to make fun of specific people I come across - or to launch a complaint against the corporate world (I actually get this question a lot). I am just trying to live the dream and share the love!
